You can’t send them any gear, gems, or even let them spend your main character’s gold to level their artisans. It is as if you just bought and installed the game as far as those characters are concerned.

Seasons differ in that once you start a Season character that character starts at level 1 with no Paragon levels, none of your purchased stash tabs and none of the gold and gear your non-Season characters have access to. You can play your Season either Hardcore - that means no deaths allowed, you die once and that character is gone - or normal, which is just like the regular Diablo 3 play experience.

That’s all you have to do to start a Seasonal Hero - click the box that says “Seasonal Hero” on that screen. When it begins, you’ll be given the option to make a Seasonal Hero on the character creation pane of the game. Season 13 begins Friday, February 23 at 5:00 p.m. I’ve done a few Seasons now so I feel fairly comfortable talking about the basics of Season Play for folks new to it. I don't know if it would be such a big development effort.Due to the nature of Diablo 3’s Seasons, we have talked about this before, but it’s still worth it to go over the basics for folks new to Season play.

A rebirth feature would let me bypass clicking the delete button. This one is just a personal oddity, but I also get attached to my characters and feel bad for deleting them. I honestly don't think being able to create 2-3 extra remove-only stash tabs per league is an issue compared to how many tabs get created in the stash merge when the league ends.Īs has been said, the rebirth feature could retain all of the character state that does not affect stats or gameplay: /age, /played, /deaths (bonus points for separate counters in the current league), equipped MTX, NPC conversation state. Since you can only transfer 30-74 items (depending on their size and whether you have a character that can equip them) to mail at once and you have a maximum of three rebirths available per season, this puts a pretty hard limit to using it as additional item storage. Blizzard mail may have endless capacity but it also has limited duration.
